Baking With Haley

Haley loves being in the kitchen with me when I'm baking, so I try to let her help as much as I can. Knowing that she would be helping quite a bit, I just had to get her an apron (what baker doesn't have an apron?). Of course, she loves it. So this morning it was time to whip up a batch of cinnamon chip oatmeal muffins, so of course I let Haley help me. She loves to "stir and stir and mix some more".

But of course, she is very easily distracted.

She loves to watch things cook in the oven, so I usually turn on the oven light so that she can watch. This morning was no exception.

Haley's favorite part (as is mine) is the tasting right after it comes out of the oven.

She didn't want to share with Emily and that made Emily a little sad.

Eventually though, Haley decided it was ok to share and fed her sister a little bit of muffin.

I love spending time with Haley in the kitchen and hopefully, we will spend lots of time together there as she grows up.
