8 Months

Our sweet little Emily is 8 months old. She celebrated the day with her very first fever. She was a trooper and didn't let us know she wasn't feeling very good, but she did take some very long naps. Luckily, she's feeling better now. Emily waves now. She will wave hello, bye bye, or just because she feels like it. She waves to just about anyone, including herself in the mirror (which I think is her favorite).

This is how she spends most of her floor time. Forget crawling, she will just flip herself back over to her back and play with her feet.

Emily is so happy all the time. Except when she's hungry, and she will let you know when she is. She loves to eat. Right now she's on a mix of baby food and table food. She is enjoying baby food a little less each day and wants to eat what the big kids are eating.

Emily has also gotten a lot more talkative in the last month. There are lots of "ba ba ba"s, "da da da"s, and I swear she's even said "mama".

She's changed a lot in the past month, and I can hardly believe she'll be one soon. But, no matter how old she is, Emily Grace will always be my baby girl.
