Her first official word was "dada" and that has now grown into "dad-dy". Her favorite word right now is "mama", which she has known for a while now, but is just now starting to constantly repeat it. She walks around and says "mama, mama, where ishe?" She may not always be looking for me, but she does seem to wonder where I am even if I'm right next to her. It's really cute because when she asks where something or someone is, she will most always put her arms out and shrug as if she's asking the question with her arms. Some of Haley's other favorite words are:
- "pu-py" (puppy or dog), which gets said a lot because there are two dogs that live right behind us
- "buh buy" (bye bye), which gets a backwards wave and usually gets said after the person has left.
- "uh oh", alhtough she hasn't quite figured out that an uh oh is an accident and not something she does on purpose, like throw down her cup of milk :)
Haley is also starting to understand more words even if she can't say them. She knows quite a few of her body parts and can point to them on herself and on mommy and daddy. She also knows that airplanes are in the sky and that the sky is up. In the past month, Haley has started to relate pictures that are in her book to real objects. If you point to the cup, she will most likely get up to find her cup. Or if you find the puzzle, she will go and get her puzzle. I often wonder to myself just how she did she learn all this?!
She's so smart!!! :-)
