For my birthday we took a day trip to Windsor Castle, one of the royal residences.
Windsor itself is a charming town.
When we arrived it was time for the changing of the guard. The girls really enjoyed watching the guards march.
The castle is incredible. We were able to tour the State Rooms (no pictures) which were stunning! We also got to walk through the Upper Ward and Chapel that were affected by the fire in 1992.
The girls even got to dress up like princesses.
The grounds of the castle were beautiful.
Our last stop was St. George's Chapel. Many of the royals are interred or buried there. There were no pictures allowed, but it was stunning.
We had a wonderful adventure celebrating my birthday.
