Cambridge

Back in March, our friends came over from Germany to visit us.  We packed a ton into their visit, so here are the highlights!

The weather was a bit iffy on our first day out, but we still managed to have a lot of fun in Cambridge.  We started the day off by punting.  A punt is a flat-bottomed boat with a square-cut bow and the punter propels the punt by pushing against the river bed with a pole.  Think a gondola ride, just a little different.

While punting you get amazing views of the beautiful colleges and bridges that make up Cambridge University.

The Bridge of Sighs

St. Johns College

Kings College

Mathematical Bridge

After punting, our plan was a tour of King's College.  By the time we made it to the entrance it had been closed for an Easter concert.  Bummer.  At least we got to see the outside of it before it was time to head home.

Cambridge really is such a beautiful city!
