Everyone was up bright and early and in great spirits our first morning here. The big plan was to go to the mall! This may not seem too exciting for most, but I haven't been to a mall since well before Christmas. There is one particular mall we enjoy going to here because there is a Target for me and an awesome playscape for Haley and Daddy. My little brother was our chauffeur and got to hang out with us, which is great because I don't get to see him very much. We spent most of the afternoon wandering around and soaking in all the stores that I rarely see anymore. Haley even got to do her first Build-A-Bear! She got a very cute dalmatian that was named Spots.
The funny thing about leaving the island for a little while is that everyone back on the rock wants to know where you eat, mainly because there is not a huge selection back home. So for them I say we ate at Chick-Fil-A and Marble Slab. And they were delish!
We finished off our time in Houston with my little brother's high school graduation. There was a wonderful lunch for him and his best friend with their families and friends. Since the ceremony was a little late in the afternoon, Zach braved it and kept the girls by himself so that I could go to the graduation with family and not have to worry about taking care of the little ones. He is so sweet! The ceremony was very nice and I can't believe that my baby brother is heading off to Baylor in a few months.
Then we were off to the airport and a few hours later we were in Oklahoma City with all of Zach's family. It was a very brief visit, but it was nice to see everyone for a little bit.
The very next day, Zach headed back to Key West to go back to work and the girls and I travelled back to Texas to see my mom. We have had so much fun so far shopping and doing all those girly things. Haley is loving being with her Grammy and Grandpa Glen. So far she has helped feed cows, humming birds, quail, and a horse. Both girls have been so tired at the end of our days and have been sleeping much later than they do at home.
It has just been fabulous and we are loving our time away!
