Texas- Part I

We were fortunate enough to be able to spend our Thanksgiving with family in Texas this year. So we flew to Houston to spend the holiday with my dad and family. Both girls got lots of good family time, which is so wonderful because a lot of my favorite memories growing up are of family and the holidays.

Haley slept through Thanksgiving lunch, but definitely enjoyed getting to eat pie with her Granddad. She especially loved all that whipped cream.

She also enjoyed getting to read with Tante. The girl loves her books!

Haley also got to hang out with her Uncle Lincoln. They played a lot on his iPad and she just loved all the attention he gave her.

I think Haley's favorite member of the family were the dogs. I think she was their favorite too.
Emily got to meet her Great Grandmom Dot. She is so special to me and I hope that she is just as special to my girls.
She also got lots of good cuddles from her Granddad.
Emily also did quite a bit of sleeping. She got to nap in the cradle that my dad made for me when I was a baby.

We also were lucky enough to see some friends while we were in town too. I got to have dinner with a few of my close college friends, which was so wonderful! We also got to meet up with an old co-worker of mine. We both have kids the same age, so it was so much fun taking them to the Children's Museum. All in all, it was a wonderful holiday in Houston!
