Before I met Zach, I never thought much of Veteran's Day. Yes, I would stop and think about all those who have served and are currently serving in our military, but nothing more than a fleeting thought.
Then I married a military man and that all changed. And this year, for some reason, it hit me a little harder than in previous years. I am truly thankful and appreciative of what Zach, and thousands of other people, do each and every day for our country. He may not be out on the front lines like so many are these days, but what he does sitting behind a computer impacts us all. He is helping make the world a better place for our family and your family. And that makes me love him even more.
This year we went to the Veteran's Day parade. Zach had just worked the night before and went back again the next night. He is such a trooper.
I love that the girls will grow up knowing that their daddy is serving our country.
I don't think it matters how patriotic you are, but I do think that we should thank our men and women each and every day for what they do. They are giving up so many things to help keep us safe and free.
