Valentine's Day Cookies

The day that I saw this post I knew I had to make those cookies. But, my waistline doesn't need dozens of cookies around the house, so I was wondering what to do with all these cookies I was going to make. Then I had it! Haley and I would make Valentine's Day cookies for all her friends.

The big day was finally here! Cookie day! Haley was super excited about making cookies!

She got to pour everything in. There was a slight hiccup when we ran out of flower. Haley was really upset about that. She thought we were done making cookies. But, we were able to make a quick trip to the store to get more "flowers" (as Haley called it) and we were able to finish making cookies.

We used the cookie press to make heart shaped cookies. Haley tried to squeeze the trigger on it, but didn't like it too much.

She did enjoy licking the spoon.

After the cookies were baked and cooled, Haley got to put some sprinkles on them. This girl loves the sprinkles! A majority of them did not end up on the cookies. I'm still sweeping them off the floor.

I decided to put the cookies in little goodie bags and then let Haley color some hearts that were going to be attached to the bags. She enjoyed doing some coloring.

The cookies were put in their bags and tied off with some ribbon and Haley's hearts.

Haley loved giving out her Valentine's Day gifts and I hope that we get to do this many more times!

  3. What a wonderful experience for both of you. I'm leaving in the morning for Plano to celebrate Sherrie's 60th birthday - will take my laptop so I can show Mimi ... she will love it. Happy Valentine's Day to all the Hintens. Hugs and love.
