Two Years

Two years ago, our beautiful little girl came into our lives. We had been telling Haley for the week before her big day that her birthday was coming up. I don't think she quite got it, but she knew there was going to be a party too.

We started the fun on Friday with her first pedicure with mommy. Well, she got her toes painted while I got a pedicure. She still enjoyed getting to splash her feet in the water and getting "paint" on her toes.

Finally, the big day arrived! We had put balloons on the floor in her room for when she woke up. When she came out of her room we told her it was her birthday and she got so excited! She got to put on her birthday hat and go see her big present from mommy and daddy- a kitchen!
She loves it and played with it all morning. I made her birthday pancakes, put candles in them, and we sang happy birthday to her.

Then lunchtime rolled around and we treated the birthday girl to chicken nuggets with a few fries. Stuck a few more candles in there and sang to her again! She even blew out both candles!

After nap time, it was time to get ready for the party! Haley's party was Elmo themed , so of course she had to have an Elmo dress.

We had about ten kids and their parents over to our house for the party. There was a ball pit, tunnels to crawl through, coloring books, and lots of toys to keep everyone occupied. And it was perfect weather to have everything outside.
After lots of playing, it was time for cake. Haley loved having everyone sing to her and clapped afterwards. She blew out both candles!

This girl loves cupcakes!
After a fun-filled party, it was time to end the day. And what a better way for the birthday girl to celebrate, but in her birthday suit.

When Haley got up the next morning she said "birthday?" Zach had to tell her it was no longer her birthday. She cried. She was so sad that it was no longer her big day. I'm not sure I'm ready to celebrate another one, I can barely believe she's already two! But they have been a fabulous two years!
