Bath

The next day we spent in Bath, a beautiful city.

Our first stop was the Roman Baths.  Big girl had been learning about the Romans in school, so she was very excited to tell us all she knew.  As we were waiting inside to get our tickets, you look up and see the beautiful ceiling.

The first stop is the top level looking down into the bath.

While outside viewing the main bath, you turn around and see the incredible Bath Abbey.

Once you head inside, you get to see these incredible pieces of history.  So amazing to think about these things being around for over 1900 years!

The girls were kept busy with little phones with information presented by kids.  Very cool.

We eventually made it down to the bath level and got to explore a little more.

And when in "Rome" take a picture with a Roman.  This was how they say hello.

After the baths, we were off to Bath Abbey.  Another gorgeous church!

Seriously, these ceilings!

Oh look!  A picture of us, together!

We had dinner at the famous Sally Lunns, the oldest house in Bath and home of the famous Bun.

The evening was capped off with ice cream in the square.  Perfect.

On our way back to the car lot, we learned that it was a Bank Holiday, which meant no bus service after 5pm.  Yeah.  So after a very expensive taxi ride back to get the cars, we were off to the next adventure.
