We wrapped up our pre-Christmas fun by finally baking our Christmas cookies. The girls were such helpers this year and really got in to it.
This was the first year that they wanted to try to roll out the dough. It was a little harder than expected, but *lots* of flour helped.
We made all sorts of treats that we eventually handed out to our neighbors, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
Christmas Eve we went to our village church for a Christingle service. It was an incredibly lovely service.
And then the big guy finally showed up. He brought lots of goodies for the girls.
The girls were so excited all morning.
"Look, Santa came!!"
Occasionally, someone would get bored watching everyone open their gifts, so she would just read one of her new books.
Although it was hard not being able to be with family, we were able to Skype with everyone which made it a bit nicer. We had a wonderful Christmas this year!
