Christmas Morning

We celebrated our family Christmas a little early this year because of travelling and Zach's work schedule.  Haley was very excited about getting to set out milk and cookies for Santa.  She kept telling me that she was going to eat them and I had to explain that Santa gets very hungry and thirsty delivering all those presents and that this was for him.  I'm not sure she understood it all, but she ended up being ok with leaving the goodies on the table.

The next morning Haley was very excited to find the milk and cookies gone.  She said "WOW!  Santa ate the cookies!".  I love how amazed she was.

Then the girls discovered all the goodies that Santa left while they were fast asleep.

Before they could get started ripping into all the presents, Zach read a passage to the girls to let them know why we celebrate Christmas and why we give gifts.

And then the madness began!  Emily was ready to tear open the wrapping paper.  She really go into it.

The girls must have been pretty good this year because they got quite a few presents.  Haley's favorite was a clock to help her learn to tell time.  And Emily fell in love with her Mickey ("Mi Mi") Mouse.

And my favorite gift was from my Grandmom.  It is perfect and I absolutely cannot wait to start cookin'!

It was a wonderful morning!  We all stayed in our jammies for a good bit of the day and the living room was a complete mess full of scraps of wrapping paper, boxes, and new toys.  But it was perfect!

Now we are looking forward to spending the holidays with family!  Merry Christmas y'all!
